THE LARGEST SEX SHOP IN THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU IN JAPAN!

They say that Akihabara, a populous neighborhood in Tokyo, is the most “otaku” from the city. Let's remember that fans of the typical expressions of Japanese cartoons that fascinate the world are called "otakus". It is, but not only for that it is characterized. The biggest sex shop in Japan (and the world) is also there.

There, most of the shops are dedicated to the sale of electronic devices, computers and accessories. And of course, audiovisual entertainment, such as anime, manga and video games. Almost all of them are on Chuodori Avenue, the main avenue in the neighborhood. Tourists tend to visit big-name stores as well as specialty or lower-priced ones a little further afield. Akihabara is also known for being home to the first stores dedicated entirely to robotics. And because it has the largest sex shop in the world!

The pleasure supermarket

That's what they call the mega store “M's Pop Life”. It is also called "Paradise of sexuality", or the "Cathedral of Kinky culture" (by "kinky" we mean unorthodox, imaginative and daring sexual behavior. In Japan it is deeply rooted) 

They happen to be nothing less than 7 floors! dedicated to everything you can imagine in the sex industry. And what you can't even imagine.  

This giant sex shop receives around 1.500 visitors a day. The store first opened in the Ueno neighborhood in 2001 and soon moved to Akihabara. Since then, it has opened seven branches, including two more in various neighborhoods in Tokyo. But the first store is a tourist attraction in the Japanese capital. It rightly attracts curious people from all over the country, and travelers from all over the world who visit Japan. 

Floors and more floors of pleasure

The themes and products are divided into floors. In other words, the distribution of its physical space is like that of a department store, but very particular, because in addition to the classic sex shop items, there are rarities and exotics for all tastes. Even for the most extreme. 

• On the first floor: Fake vaginas and anuses stand out, promising great and very pleasurable experiences. In addition, we find fake throats and vulvas on what look like perfume bottles or deodorant containers. They even sell underwear used in famous porn movies! There are also posters of great stars of that industry and assorted "memorabilia". 

• the 4th floor It has everything you need for erotic cosplay: classic nurse or schoolgirl uniforms, many miniskirts and cat bodysuits, as well as costumes of famous characters from movies, series and comics, not just Japanese. 

• In the third floor there is more glamour, with women's lingerie rooms. More elegance, subtlety and distinction, without whips or ties. Exciting delicacy for those who like it. And we find many objects designed for soft sex. Also board games, sex dice, dolls with lustful shapes, and aphrodisiac pills. There is with taurine, viagra, ginseng, and "unicorn horn" (whatever that is). And if you want lubricant gels, there are enough to fill several Olympic pools. Is sex shop largest in the world, but like all Japanese sex shops, the place has a rather “naive” and colorfully pop appearance. It is clean, tidy and bright (very far from the squalor found in other latitudes for the same item) It could be a department store in the style of El Corte Inglés or Falabella, and in a certain way it is, but for sex (a sometimes very extreme) nestled in the most “geek” part of the Japanese capital.
